Swimming the Summer away

We swam, and swam and swam this summer! It's been fun. Blakely excelled a ton w/ 2 sessions of swimming lessons, and especially diving for stuff w/ her cousin Emma. She also is a champ waterskiing w/ mom!

Washington Trip/Animal Park

We went to this CRAZY-COOL animal farm near olympia national forest that has all these bears, bison, llamas... and buffalo that eat out of your car... you literally drive through and throw bread at them... some are behind fences, like the bears, but the bison, elk and buffalo had free access to us... it was fun!

Activites on the Puget Sound

We picked and ate so many berries we made ourselves sick. We ran accross this great farm w/ berries and a fish hatchery. The girls fished, and we had trout and berries for dinner! We visited Desolation Pass, a crazy bridge on Whidbey Island, and spent many hours in the hot tub on the back deck of our wonderful house.. in the woods!

BeachCombing-Port Townsend

We had such a fun time just walking around these beautiful beaches. The fog in the mornings was mystical, the shells were great and to be able to walk to a lighthouse was an adventure. Blakely brought home bags of seashells...

Port Towsend, WA 7-07

We had a great trip to Port Townsend, Washington on the Puget Sound. We pulled off a very successful "home exchange" and got a great house 5 minutes from the Ocean out of it. We spent a lot of time on Ferry's and Bryan especially loved it when the submarine came our way.

Summer stuff 07'

We took a helicopter ride above Midway that was really scenic and spent the afternoon w/ Amy's fam up there. We continue to enjoy many great swim outings to the Rose's pool w/ family, here on the 4th of July... and of course the summer wouldn't be complete w/ out a couple days spent at wonderful, mucky Utah Lake... skiing!

Lake Powell cont. 6-07

Lake Powell was great. Cousins Shep and Dylan sleeping on boat... Amy's cousin Matthew finishing his waterski run. The girls play on boat ramp... as we pull the boat out for the night. This time we slept in a house/trailer... and wimped out on camping.

Lake Powell 6-07

We had some fun adventures... hiking the "crack" near Forgotten Canyon was a neat/little scary, slot canyon. The kids slept like "babies" as the boat did it's magic. Here cousing Dylan sleeps for hours, and Karri, Aram and Shep had a memorable first trip as a family to Powell. Karri and Kelsie both waterskiied pregnant...but very cautiously! Kelly (pampa) is our favorite boat driver. This year was sad because we said good-bye to our long-time friend, boat. But, he was such a pleaser by becoming a member of toyshare so we could carry on the family tradition of boating. (w/out the stress!)

Lake Powell 6-07

Lake Powell was so great. We haven't been for over 5 years... so, we were so happy to spend a few days there. The Sheppard clan enjoyed 2 sunny days, and one windy day near Bullfrog. Blakely skiied with mom on 2 skiies... she was a champ.. Fun was had by all! Bry even was able to relax a little because he didn't do all the boat driving.

June Fun

We are so lucky to have so many great cousins... Because Amy has so many cousins that she gets together w/ on occasion... Blakely and Abby have even more second cousins. Here they played on a tramp one night we celebrated Karalyn's wedding shower. Also Blakely and Abby play w/ cousin Sawyer from Pennsylvania who was visiting Grandma. And, last... they girls spend time w/ neighborhood playgroup friends @ Wheeler Farm

Blakely's Preschool Graduation

Blakely had the greatest year of preschool. She loves her teacher, Ms. Tiffany and they had an especially fun class this year... somehow, with all girls. So, lucky for them, they all get to dress up like princesses for thier graduation program. Blakely loves to sing, read w/ dad, knows all her letters and loves to color and write words out w/ help. We are very proud of her.
