My cousin Katie is getting into photography. We went yesterday and braved the cold to do some Winter pics. Here are a few. They turned out cute. I'm cramming everything in it seems, as we leave tomorrow for Mexico. We are way excited to get some sun!!! Blakely got really cold and grumpy, so she is not her usual smiley self... Thanks Katie... if anyone wants some pictures done, she is the up and coming photographer!
I have to say that I married a devout, blue as they come... Cougar. The longer I'm married to my cute husband, the more I realize this. Bryan was raised in the tradition of Cougar sports. From the time he could talk and walk he's been singing, "Rise and Shout the Cougars are out." Last night he went to the big game up North... I begged and begged him not to go, because I was nervous it would just be hard on him. He came home a little beat up, but still very proud to be a Cougar. By 4 a.m. I talked him into taking a sleeping pill as he was so wrapped up in the game still, he couldn't sleep. Win or lose, my Bryan will always be a devout Cougar Fan and I can see our kids will also. Congrats to the team up North... here's to next year!
Baya has started to eat solids and is loving it! She just sits there and hollers at me when we are in the kitchen until I give her some food. She loves to drink out of a cup and get all wet from the water. I just have to laugh... she is turning into such a chunk. I've never had a kid w/ rolls on her legs... and look at those cheeks. She is such a cutie!
We have plenty of leaves to play in. I tried to get the girls to pose for me before school one morning, but Blakely refused. Later, when we were raking, they enjoyed jumping and playing in them. I couldn't believe it, I put Baya down to get a pic, and before I knew it, they had thrown a huge handful on her and she was buried completely... ahhh
This year it seemed like the party w/ Halloween never ended. The day before Halloween, both Blakely and Abby had their school parties. Abby even went trick-or-treating w/ her preschool class. We stopped off at Rasmussen farms to see everyone and get our last fix on pumpkins. Then, we headed down to Lehi for my mom's trunk or treat... that was a good way to get lots--fast. Then home to enjoy the real trick or treating w/ aunts and neighbor kids.
Baya is getting so smiley... it is fun. Abby is getting stickier and stickier by the day... can anyone help out here w/ ideas on how to deal w/ all this candy?
We have been having some fun Halloween activities. We always visit the Rasmussen Pumpkin yard numerous times every season... Here is Grandpa Sonne running the show and making sure all is well w/ the pumpkin sales... We had our annual Hillcrest Halloween party (picture is blurry) and the kids had lots of fun. We are getting big! Also, the girls enjoyed a day at Wheeler Farm w/ the Scarecrows.
We have taken out four-wheelers a couple of times the last few weeks. It has been a new experience for us and we like it. It has been so pretty up American Fork Canyon w/ all of the leaves changing colors. We rode them up to Silver Lake which was so pretty. We are pretty new at this, so we are very mellow!
So, we stayed at Bally's but had to get our kids over to the Golden Nugget's pool because it's so great. We had to sneak in... we didn't think it would be a big deal, but they asked for our room key... ahhh. So, we talked a nice guy from Amsterdam into coming in w/ us... (I'm nervy) Blakely is here w/ her dad... they are the real swimmers in this family. Look closely and you can see Bry going through the waterslide. Such a great pool! The weather was great!
After the marathon, we headed south to Vegas and area. Bry had a work conference for a few days. We met up w/ our good friends the Ryggs for some skiing action. It was so perfect. The water was so warm and glassy. That is going to have to be a new post marathon tradition. Thanks guys! Neisha gave me some real competition out there on the ski... and Blakely was so brave wake surfing w/ Maury. They even have a video of it on facebook, I'll try and post.
