Happy Birthday Abby!

Abby turned 4 today! She was the ultimate princess. We had a fun party w/ lots of little princesses running around. She is such a funny girl with a lot of things going on in her head. We love her very much and are so glad to have her in our family. She comes up with some pretty classic sayings. "Mom no adults are allowed at my party!... and no boys either."

Enchanted... Up with kids...

The girls have been working so hard on their musical production, "Enchanted" with 'Up With Kids'. They were so darling. Abby was runt of the litter, and Blakely was Flower. They both had speaking parts and sang in 3 numbers. Neighbors Claire and Lauren were also involved and it was so fun to watch these kids be so brave and adorable. Abby was the youngest one up on the stage and was a hit...

Temple Square Tulips

Wow... I was so impressed by the flowers this year at Temple Square. They were amazing. We spent a fun day going to the Planetarium seeing an Imax, then taking Trax over to temple square the flowers were so pretty. Too bad I hadn't done my kids hair this day so we are looking a little bit ragged. We got pored on along with all the pretty brides out for some pics!

Mothers Day

I think this day is an interesting phenomena. Sometimes people including myself don't know how to act. I love and feel so grateful for motherhood. I am grateful for my mother and my mother-in-law and my grandmas... and Bry's grandmas. They are amazing. Sometimes I have to say though, it's hard to take praise yourself for being a mom. I love my kids and am grateful almost every second of the day for them, (minus the tantrums, pinching, and totally ongoing messes!). But, it's hard sometimes to take it all in. Am I really their mom? Do they look at me like I hold all the answers to this world? Good thing they have other's to lean on in this regard. Like the common phrase, it takes a village to raise a child... it will take that and more to raise mine! I am grateful for the recent talks given by Sherry Doo and others about how motherhood really is a women's divine calling and whether you have children or not as a woman, you are indeed taking part in mothering the children around you to become better individuals. I am grateful for all the sisters, aunts, sister-in-laws, friends, moms, grandmas, and neighbors/leaders in my life. Girl Power... I couldn't do it w/out you!
