NY NY... Amy's last hoorah

So I begged and I begged, and I got my way. With 3 kids quickly approaching I felt a huge urgency to go on one last hoorah. Bry thought I was spoiled, and I was, but he was happy to oblige. My aunt and Uncle live right in the heart of Manhattan, and we stayed w/ them. They were so gracious... and we really went for it in the 4 days we were there. The first night we arrived we went to the Yankees game. The next day we headed out and saw the LDS Temple, Time Square, great food, Rockefeller Cntr. We were able to go to Dave Letterman w/ Josh Groban!!! A delicious Italian Restaurant, Carmines, and see Phantom of the Opera. You know we were pooped when Bryan kept falling asleep during Phantom!!!

All in a Days Work

Our second day in NYC was so great, but I thought I was going to die we walked so much. Bry started out w/ a jog in Central Park w/ cousin Rob, then came back for me. We then went to Central Park for a stroll, and afterward found Serendipity. This is a little cafe from the movie which I like, Serendipity. We had their famous frozen hot chocolate and Bry hasn't stopped talking about it. We also sat at their table. We then met up w/ old friends Jeff and Scout and kids in Soho, where he works for a delicious cuban lunch. It was great to see them. Onward we went thinking everything would be close together... not. We went to ground zero, and from there were planning to stoll quickly to battery park and the Staten Island Ferrie. This ended up being an hour of walking, and we'd prob already walked over a mile 1/2 previous. I was dying... remember I'm like 71/2 months prego here! We took the Staten Island Ferrie, where we relaxed and took in the views of Lady Liberty and the views of Manhattan... and then met up w/ Lindsay and Rob in China town for shopping and dinner. Onward we went after to Brooklyn to see the promenade and the view of Manhattan. But, it was pretty rainy so we used this as our excuse not to walk the bridge... I was dead!

Packing it in NYC

Here we do China town with Uncle Lindsay and cousin Rob. The next day we walked by the Empire State Bldg. Spent only an hour at the MET due to lack of time (so tragic) and found the Hungarian district where we hit a meat market and saw a hungarian church... all before hopping on a bus to Jersey to spend the night w/ Bry's cousin and family.

Lady Liberty

We spent our last day of the trip with Bry's cousin and family. We went from the Jersey side to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. It was a fun day and we were impressed with the beauty of the statue close up and the history of collaboration that went into her builiding. The only thing that we weren't crazy about was all the security!

Grandpa Jeff: we love him so...

Grandpa Jeff is a professional DI Shopper. He has rounded up some real treasures including these fun cars the girls play in. He works so hard on the farm every year. He always gets so excited to get back on his tractor. This year he got himself a new one... Here, Blakely gets a ride.

Blakely's 1st lost tooth

Our cousin Emma lost her tooth a month or so ago and Blakely has been wiggling her's ever since. We were at a Primary activity and the kids were doing a parachute, and Blakely got knocked. She came up to me after and said her tooth was loose. It was! For days I tried to talk her into letting me have a pull at it because it was hanging by a thread, and then all of the sudden it was gone. We never did find it! O'well, the tooth fairy did. She now has another loose tooth!
