St. George/Red Cliffs

Near St. George, we spent an afternoon at Red Cliffs State Park. Brrr.. water but lots of fun. Bry got into the rock waterslides.

Australian Guests

We had so much fun w/ our Australian friends. We met them online and became immediate friends. They stayed w/ us for about a week while they came to conference. We miss them.

Easter Fun

This year the girls were totally spoiled for Easter. The big egg hunt was at Grandma & Grandpa Rasmussen's and it was a hit. There were a million eggs and cousins to contend with. It was fun to have Amy's and Bryan's families both there.

Let it snow

We didn't have a lot of chances this year for snow, so when we finally got some wet snow... The girls were all about making a snow man!

Blakely's 4th Birthday

Blakely turned 4 Feb 25th. We had a fun family party at home-- and then a "little" friend fun at Jungle Jims. Blakely continues her love for Dora. (ex. cake, castle)

Baby Sarah

Baby Sarah was born on Feb, 12th. She makes it 5 grandkids, and 5 girls! We love her. Congrats Jenn and Andrew Rose. (Bry's sister)

Winter 06

Blakely's Christmas program...she loves preschool. Christmas pajamas at the Rasmussen's on Christmas Eve! Christmas morning was Dora licious Temple Square w/ Grandma and Aunt Bex and Kates Ice skating... Blakely was a champ!

Amy loves ice-skating, so every year for her birthday we visit the outdoor rink at Murray Park. This year was her 30th, so we invited all sorts of friends and family and had a big birthday bash on ice.

Blakely told Santa she wanted pj's for Christmas. We had leaves!!! Lots of leaves!!! The girls looked adorable in their Christmas dresses. They were little Snow angels!

Bryan and Amy took off on a little 2 day trip to Disneyland mid-december. It was one of those time-share gigs... so it was practically free. Amy took her cell phone soaring over California!

St. George Marathon-- Oct. 2006

We did it!!! After a long summer of training, both Bryan and Amy ran the marathon together! It was crazy and a lot of fun. We finished in 4 hrs. 18 minutes and for that we were grateful.

It was a fun race. We originally committed to running the marathon w/ a group of runners trying to raise money for Eagle-Condor Humanitarian's micro-credit program. Amy was very scared, because she has struggled w/ running since having kids. But, w/ a lot of help from family, we trained together and had great support on the fund raising too. It was a blast. Those who also ran w/ us... or in front or behind us-- were Amy's dad, Kelly, Aram (brother-in-law), Daniel- Bryan's brother, and cousin Kim Longson. We also ran w/ many friends. This was Bry's 3rd marathon and Amy's 2nd. And Amy's last for a long time to come!

Lake Titicaca and Puno

Lake Titicaca was just really magical. Here are all these floating islands about 3-4 miles out on the highest navitigal lake in the world. And, they are literally floating. They are built on about 3 feet of mud compound and then just stacked w/ reeds. This town was a lot of fun... we enjoyed the bicycle taxis and playing bball w/ the lds kids too.

Awesome Experiences in the Sacred Valley, Peru

We were so lucky to go to Peru w/ Eagle Condor Humanitarian. Two favorite experiences were: First going to the High Mtn village of Salcantay at 12,000 feet. We helped build an amazing swing set for a bunch of darling kids, painted their school furniture, played soccer (and about had cardiac arrest) did art projects and help donate a library to them. We also visited these unusual reed islands on Lake Titicaca. We went to visit 5 member families that live on this island, and took them some light sources and just felt of their love. Amy just sat there and sang hymns in spanish w/ these cute little kids that couldn't have sang any louder and sweeter!

Amy and Bry in Peru!!! Oct 28- Nov 3

We had such a great experience when we traveled to Peru at the end of October. We went with a group of about 25 "humanitarians." We started our journey at Machu Picchu, which is seriously amazing. And then as the week progressed we visited some small villages and did some great projects.
