From Connecticut we drove to Boston (about an hour 1/2.) We were really excited to explore this fun city. Jen had told us a good way to do the city.. so we started at the USS Constitution and did the museum and ship there. Below the girls are in hammocks pretending to be like the sailers were of that time.
Here we are on the USS Constitution w/ a navy officer taking a picture. Pretty impressive boat!
We then hopped on the harbor ferry to take us over the main city part to start our walking tour. This was fun to come into the Boston Harbor this way. Pretty impressive City!
We had sort of made it a tradition to play in splash pads at all the major cities we could. It actually had cooled off a bit, but this was still a nice break from all the tours and history. We had just had lunch in the big international hall w/ so many different kinds of food. Our favorite was probably the Boston Clam Chowder and the Indian Food.
This was the Paul Revere Statue. Bryan hung w/ Bradford while the girls and I toured his home or a home he had stayed in. It reminded me of some of the pioneer homes we had been touring.
As we walked the freedom trail, we picked up some good San Pelegrino, Pizza and ice cream along the way... always important to snack well while learning!
